FS Italiane closed a new private placement with Eurofima, which subscribed Euro 250 million twenty-year floating rate notes.
The transaction, with maturity on April 2041, represents the longest financing raised by FS in the last fifteen years.
The bond proceeds are earmarked to refinance investments in rolling stocks for long-haul public service in Italy operated by Trenitalia’s.
The funded trains are aligned to the EU Taxonomy criteria, and contribute positively to environmental and social sustainability promoting the modal shift to rail.
