With the start of the new school year, the digital meetings dedicated to educational institutions organised by Women In Motion (WIM) also resume. This FS Italiane project – now in its sixth edition – aims to raise awareness amongst young students on issues regarding the gender gap in technical professions.
Also this year, the event will be held as a webinar, a format adopted during the Covid-19 emergency and which has made it possible to remotely meet many young people, teachers and parents throughout Italy. The first appointment is set for Wednesday, 22 September at 10:30 am, with over 400 students of the ITIS Magistri Cumacini of Como. The webinar is an opportunity to talk about the world of FS and its technical professions, providing young participants with the tools to make study and work choices free from prejudice.
Numerous WIM digital meetings are scheduled between now and the end of the year with middle and high schools, events that form part of the many school guidance activities conducted since 2017, both face-to-face and online, as a testimony of FS Italiane’s commitment in countering gender stereotypes as well as demonstrating the Group’s contribution to the creation of an increasingly inclusive society – starting with the involvement of the new generations.
