Solidarity has always been a fundamental value for the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group, concretely engaged in the implementation of projects and initiatives in favour of people facing hardship. In agreement with the Third Sector and local authorities, the Group has adopted a policy for supporting and programming social initiatives in the railway areas. In fact, starting from the stations, comes a new system of collaborative welfare, based on the principle of circular subsidiarity as a form of collaboration between various players (public, private and third sector). The approach sees connection and mutual assistance within a community, each according to its own nature and mission, and no longer a mere provision of services.
