The Milan - Bologna High Speed / High Capacity line is ten years old.
On December 13, 2008, high-speed entered the daily life of millions of citizens and this new way of traveling, more modern and ambitious, has encouraged and developed a new concept of community.
This important infrastructural opus has in fact made it possible to reduce the distances between cities and, above all, to bring people together, who live and work in cities.
The Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group recounts the first ten years of this important infrastructural work with an institutional multimedia campaign completed with the contribution of all the railway workers; a teaser of the ten years of the Turin-Salerno high speed system which will take place in 2019, broadcast on the main national TV stations and in the daily and periodical press beginning tomorrow.
A success for the made in Italy brand, taken as an example all over the world, as testified by the 350 million people who have travelled aboard the Trenitalia AV Frecce; the Frecciarossa 1000 being its work horse. A safe and ecological train built to run on all high-speed networks in Europe, even in a double-decker version with more seats and greater comfort for people on the move.
The Milan - Bologna High Speed line is included in the Turin - Milan - Bologna - Florence - Rome - Naples - Salerno route, the most important infrastructural and technological project, together with the A1 motorway, built in Italy after the war, which since December 5, 2009, has changed the life of millions of Italians and the history of the country.
The Italian high speed has offered a new high quality travel experience thanks to the possibilities offered by the network, the superior technological build of trains (comfort and ergonomics), and the many services offered on board and at the stations, as shown by customer satisfaction indexes.
