Rome, 11 May 2015
FS Italiane supports the 16th edition of Race for the Cure alongside Susan G. Komen Italia and all the women who are fighting or have won their fight against breast cancer in order to once again be the company team with the most competitors (in 2014 over 500 railway staff and family members registered).
Making the general public aware of the importance of prevention is the objective of this initiative, under the High Patronage of the Italian President of the Republic, organised to promote the campaign to fight breast cancer, the focal point of which is a “solidarity race” on Sunday 17 May: a 2km-walk or a 5km-run starting at Circo Massimo in Rome.
Registration for the event requires a donation of at least 15 euros. Participants who pay the minimum donation will be given an official t-shirt, a race bag with gadgets from sponsors and a special breastplate until stocks last. Free medical check-ups and specialist services for early diagnosis of breast cancer will be given on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 may at the Race Village at Circo Massimo.
Gruppo FS Italiane will take part in fund-raising with a team of almost 600 registered employees and family members.
