The 2017-2026 Industrial Plan of FS Italiane was presented today at the Consumer Associations by the Managing Director of the FS Italiane Group, Renato Mazzoncini.
The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of FS Italiane, constitutes a leg of the road shows that started 28 September for the presentation and sharing of the Plan with stakeholders.
On this occasion, special attention was placed on the objectives and strategy of he FS Italiane that will produce greater effects on the daily life of customers and the so-called “customer experience”.
At the center, the objective of creating a system of infrastructures and mobility services that are effectively integrated with each other, thus seeing the various players involved to cooperate with each other finally overcoming autarchy, as defined by Mazzoncini, which has characterized the sector so far.
Available to travellers, and all partner transport companies, FS will create a digital platform that plans and allows purchasing the trip, using the means best suited to satisfying the various needs of customers: from trains to car sharing, from coaches to city buses, from bicycles to taxis. Currently, specified the CEO of FS, to clarify the extent of the scope of action of the future platform “80% of the country's mobility demand will be met by private cars”.
The representatives of the Associations expressed great interest in the proposals and contents of the Plan and offered their willingness to follow its progress and collaborate with FS Italiane in the progressive development of aspects that more closely concern consumers and the quality of travel, with a view to sustainable mobility.
The meeting was attended by: Adiconsum, Adoc, Adusbef, Assoutenti, Cittadinanzattiva, Codacons, Confconsumatori, Federconsumatori, Lega Consumatori, Movimento Difesa del Cittadino and, with delegation to Assoutenti, Movimento Consumatori.
