22 July 2022
From the night of Monday, 1 August to the early morning of Sunday, 7 August, Rete Ferroviaria Italiana will carry out infrastructure works at the Altavilla Vicentina (VI) station on the Venice-Verona line. Specifically, the fourth track will be removed to allow for the installation of two new tracks for the High Speed/High Capacity Verona-Padua line, in the broader context of upgrading the Turin-Milan-Venice railway corridor.
As of 1 August 2022, Trenitalia’s regional transport between Venice and Verona will undergo the following permanent alterations:
Trenitalia’s regional train offering will be modified to allow for the worksites operating from 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, 6 August to 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, 7 August, with trains between the Verona Porta Nuova and Vicenza stations in both directions cancelled and replaced by buses. On Saturday evening, two Venice-Verona trains reaching Padua will be diverted via Monselice-Nogara and shall arrive in Verona with a delay of about 10 minutes. Finally, a bus service will be activated between Padua and Verona to service intermediate stops. The ticket sales systems are all up-to-date.
Detailed information on rail traffic measures and the trains affected can be found on Trenitalia’s website.
