FS Italiane in support of the Mi prendo cura di te campaign of the Bambino Gesù Foundation

Fundraising for the construction of the Paediatric Palliative Care Centre in Passoscuro. Donations can be submitted until 30 June 2022 through the self-service ticket machines in the stations

Rome, 20 December 2021

FS Italiane is supporting the Mi Prendo Cura Di Te campaign of the Bambino Gesù Foundation, raising funds for the construction of a Paediatric Palliative Care Centre in Passoscuro, which is set to open in January 2022.

The Group accepted the Foundation's invitation to participate in the fundraising campaign, the name of which translates to “I’ll take care of you”, helping to support the activities in favour of the Bambino Gesù Paediatric Hospital.

You will be able to make your donation until 30 June 2022 through the self-service ticket machines present in the railway stations. The campaign will also be promoted through the websites of FS Italiane, RFI, Italferr and Trenitalia, on the monitors aboard the Frecce, Intercity, Regional and FrecciaLink trains, on the monitors of the self-service ticket machines, at the ticket offices, in the FRECCIALounge and FRECCIAClub along with all channels of the Group’s media.

Donations will go towards supporting the construction of a residential structure, a “home before returning home” that welcomes all children residing in Lazio and in many regions of Southern Italy who cannot recover and who need dedicated care and highly-specialised assistance in the most difficult phase of their illness.

The Passoscuro Centre, with some 20 beds, will also welcome the families of the children, accompanying everyone along the path of care in the hospital and at home, allowing parents to complete their training in the skills they must acquire to best look after their child at home, finding support within a network capable of giving concrete answers to the health needs of children.

The structure works in close coordination with the local home assistance network and is able to ensure periods of Respite Care for the family, as periods of “relief” in which parents can completely entrust their children to the caregivers in order to take a few days off without worry.

FS Italiane actively supports awareness-raising initiatives and campaigns in agreement with the Third Sector and local authorities. Support for fundraising by the Bambino Gesù Foundation confirms the importance FS places in the value of social responsibility, entering into the realm of acts of solidarity with which the Group supports people in difficulty.
