The FS Italiane Group has taken out insurance coverage for Group employees in the event of hospitalisation due to COVID-19 Coronavirus contagion. In addition to that already implemented by the FS Group, this measure has been adopted to provide even better protection to all employees at a time of great difficulty for the country.
This insurance policy represents another action undertaken by the FS Group’s Intercompany Task Force. This Task Force was established upon the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemiological emergency to monitor the evolution of the situation and ensure the coordination of all operations, including implementation of the legislative provisions issued in recent weeks. The FS Italiane Group immediately extended smart working across all Group Companies and issued detailed provisions to its employees.
The insurance coverage, managed by UniSalute, has a duration of one year and provides FS Group employees and managers with a daily allowance in the event of hospitalisation due to COVID-19, a flat-rate daily stipend upon admittance to intensive care owing to COVID-19 and a care services package that includes healthcare information, telephonic medical advice and healthcare service bookings.
