Enrolments are now open for the Higher Education School in Engineering of Integrated Mobility, Infrastructure, Signalling, ICT, Big Data and Project Management Systems at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, organised in collaboration with FS Italiane.
All information and the call for registration, the deadline for which is 25 November, can be found in the Work With Us section.
35 places are available in the course, with up to 15 scholarships provided for the first students selected, of which five are reserved for the first female candidates selected.
The Higher Education School includes a full-immersion for four weeks—20 January to 14 February 2020—dedicated to graduates in scientific subjects: Engineering, Computer Sciences, Mathematics and Physics of all recognised Italian and foreign universities.
The multidisciplinary course in the field of integrated transport and mobility combines highly-innovative teachings such as Information Communications Technology (ICT) and Big Data with specialised subjects (signalling, railway infrastructure and project management).
The Higher Education School—totalling 130 hours of lessons and 27 modules—will provide knowledge and skills that can be employed in companies, research centres and administrations operating in the transport sector. This is achieved through lectures in the classroom, with speakers from FS Italiane and with time spent in the FS Italiane Group companies for the drafting of the thesis. Workshops and visits to railway production facilities are also planned.
