Violence against women: FS Italiane Group supports the communication activities of the Department of Equal Opportunities

Memorandum of Understanding signed today by Maria Elena Boschi, Minister for Constitutional Reforms and Relations with the Parliament, and Gioia Ghezzi, President of FS Italiane

A common action of communication and information to prevent and combat the phenomenon of sexual and gender-based violence, stalking and all other forms of violence and exploitation against women and children, including female genital mutilation. 

Promotion of initiatives for the protection of human rights, childhood and adolescence, as well as equality between women and men and the elimination of all forms of discrimination.

These are the objectives of the Memorandum of Understanding (valid for two years) between the Prime Minister's Office, Department for equal opportunities, and the FS Italiane to raise awareness among the community, through information campaigns and programs, with respect to the various manifestations of violence.

The Deed was signed today in Rome - to coincide with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women - by Maria Elena Boschi, Minister for Constitutional Reforms and Relations with the Parliament, and Gioia Ghezzi, President of the FS Italiane Group.

FS Italiane will promote, both at national and local level, social inclusion and solidarity policies subject of the Communication campaigns promoted by the Department for Equal Opportunities to address the problem of violence against women and children and to promote changes in the social-cultural behavior of women and men.

On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the FS Italiane Group has renewed its support for WeWorld, the non-profit organization that has been fighting for years in defence of women's rights and against all forms of violence.

Until 30 November 2016, the FS Italiane Group supported the awareness campaign #potreiessereio projecting the dedicated commercial on Frecciarossa monitors and in FrecciaClub and reproducing the banner of the initiative on monitors of Frecciargento, regional self-service and Jazz, Swing and TAF trains.
