Italferr and RFI at the Open Italy Kickoffs

The Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group continues making headway at Open Italy, the multi-corporate programme promoted by the ELIS Consortium to encourage Open Innovation between companies and startups.

This year’s edition, starting in December 2019 with the collation of business needs and continuing in April with the four ‘Demodays’, continues with the Kickoff – Second Track

Scheduled for 14 and 15 September and subsequently on 21 and 22 September, the Kickoffs offer the opportunity to partners, companies, experts and junior talents from ELIS to work together to build the 2020 co-innovation projects.

Amongst the Group companies are Italferr, which will be in operation as of the 14th with two Proof of Concepts with two different startups (Guardian and Own Your Business), before RFI becomes involved the following week.

Each Kickoff represents two intense days of workshops where co-innovation teams design the projects of the programme’s final phase, outlining the objectives and planning their activities. This experience of encounters and influences will see the teams spend 12 weeks engaged in a project to realise the Proof of Concept.

The final phase of this edition shall take place in Milan in October, with the award ceremony of the Kickoff – First Track and finally, in December in Rome, with the event that will see the closing of the 2020 edition with an account of the Second Track projects. On this occasion, in the presence of the CEOs and CIOs of the companies involved, the 2021 edition shall commence with the Business Need Design Workshop.
