Dear Colleagues,
For some months, our engineering company Italferr has been in charge of designing the new Polcevera Viaduct. Setting out from that devised by architect Renzo Piano, we have developed an engineering development designed to sew up a deep wound in the heart of Genoa.
The colleagues of the Italferr taskforce, specifically set up for this operation, have been working for months with great commitment and dedication on a project that will form part of the Group’s history. It is a source of great pride for me to have the skills and passion that have always distinguished the work of all of us railway workers at the service of such an important purpose, being qualities for which we are called upon to intervene whenever there is a need to create extraordinary enterprises, in addition to the everyday tasks that we perform at the service of the people and the country.
I am writing to share the project’s progress with you all, to allow all colleagues to understand how we are working and to outline the strengths of this emerging bridge.
I wish you all every success.
Yours sincerely,
Gianfranco Battisti
