Sustainability. It is the #oradiagire (ergo, the time to act)! It is also the title of the fourth edition of the exhibition promoted by the Alleanza Italiana per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile (ASviS – the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development) to raise awareness and mobilise citizens, businesses, territories, associations and institutions alike in regards to issues of economic, social and environmental sustainability. From 22 September to 8 October 2020, the Sustainable Development Festival aims to spread the culture of sustainability and create a cultural and political change that would allow Italy to implement the United Nations 2030 agenda whilst focusing on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Hundreds of events have been planned throughout Italy and online, including conferences, seminars, workshops, exhibitions, shows, sports events, book presentations and documentaries.
In collaboration with the FS Italiane Group, the Festival sees for the first time this year the involvement of Italian embassies abroad and the international community present within Italy.
In addition, on 22 September – the opening day of the exhibition – Stefano Pierini, Central Director of Finance, Investor Relations, Insurance and Heritage for FS Italiane, will give a speech at the Infrastructure, Finance and Innovation panel on fair and sustainable development.
With its participation in this one-of-a-kind international event, the FS Italiane Group confirms its commitment to sustainable action, the main driver of development and value-creation for people, corporations and all territories in which it operates nationally and globally.
