The roadshow inspired by Open Innovation will stop in Berlin from 19 to 21 June

Scheduled for 19 June in Berlin is the SMAU | Italy RestartsUp in Berlin, a roadshow to accelerate Italian innovation. Also this year, the big players in digital, the companies and startups together with the public administrations will meet to combine their experience with a view to networking.

The event aims to facilitate connections between the Italian and German innovation ecosystems. Thirty Italian startups, the main incubators and accelerators and the companies that are bringing forward certain Open Innovation enterprises in Italy, including the FS Italiane Group, will be the protagonists of the initiative. The aims of the initiative: to make contact, share experiences and establish new business relationships with their German counterparts.

The inaugural evening at the Italian Embassy in Berlin held on 19 June will see the presence of the institutional representatives of the Regions involved, the startups selected by each Region and the investors and corporate figures involved.

Franco Stivali, Manager for Innovation for FS Italiane, will participate in the opening panel dedicated to the theme of Open Innovation within the event that will take place at EWERK on Thursday 20 June. The panel, moderated by Francesco Leone, the delegate for the Italian Embassy, will be comprised of Paolo Penati, CEO of QVC Italia, Raphael Budday, Strategy&Operations for ProSiebenSat.1 and Cora Scholten, Strategic Alliance Manager of Bayer. The day will be rich in matching meetings, panels and speed pitching sessions presenting startups to an audience of German companies, incubators and enablers interested in getting in touch with the Italian ecosystem.

On June 21 when the roadshow comes to an end, the tour of incubators and accelerators in Berlin will commence in order to stimulate the establishment of partnerships between these and the Italian ecosystem participating in the initiative.
