Ecomondo is the technical platform for the Green and Circular Economy in the Euro – Mediterranean area where it is possible to connect with Green and circular economy industry operators.
The event is the most complete on the most advanced and sustainable technologies for correctly managing and developing waste of all types in the Euro-Mediterranean area:
- Management and development of water, waste water and polluted sea areas and sections;
- Efficiency in using and transforming raw and secondary raw materials, and using recyclable raw materials.
- Ecomondo directs companies towards following the objectives given in the 7th European general action programme:
- To take waste paper, plastic, metals and glass recycling to 70% within 2030;
- To take overall packaging recycling to 80% between 2025 and 2030;
- To take the total amount of waste in landfills to 5% within 2030;
- To forbid using heat treatment on recyclable material;
- To exclude backfilling from the recycling of inert materials.
The aim of our participation is to help give a sustainable footprint to the traditional paradigm of mobility and develop the special characteristics of rail transport.
On 4th November, just one month away from COP21, the climate change conference to be held in Paris this year, our Group will hold an event with important personalities from the industrial and associate world. The aim of the event is to help spread greater knowledge of the environmental risks we are heading towards.
