Developing passenger and freight connections between Italy and Ukraine to foster international mobility, trade and logistics, transferring technical know-how in the transport sector, and offering consultancy for the development of a modern and resilient railway infrastructure.
These are the main points of the Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) signed by FS Group CEO and General Manager, Stefano Antonio Donnarumma, and UZ CEO, Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, with the non-binding aim of exploring new opportunities for collaboration over the next two years.
The agreement was signed at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025 - the annual event bringing together governments, international institutions and private-sector players to support Ukraine's recovery and reconstruction - which was hosted in Rome this year.
To concretely implement the initiatives, a working group with representatives from both Railway Companies that will meet at least four times a year will be established. In parallel with the signing of the MoC, FS Group undertakes to sign a letter of intent concerning the supply of uniforms and equipment for Ukrainian railway personnel.
With this initiative, FS Group confirms its commitment to supporting Ukraine’s reconstruction, by helping to strengthen railway and industrial connections between the two countries, and promoting the economic and social recovery of the Ukrainian territory.
