Rome, 5 February 2024
The FS Italian Group and the Consumer Associations met today, 5 February, at the headquarters of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane in Villa Patrizi. The topics discussed included progress on the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Pnrr) and the investments made in the infrastructure network, the strengthening of intermodality, the state of play on the existing service contracts with the regions, and the plans for level-crossing removal, station upgrading and the renewal of the train fleet, as well as actions for the development of tourism and the plan for the self-production of energy from renewable sources that FS is pursuing.
Thus the confrontation and synergy between FS and the Group Poles (Infrastructure, Passengers, Logistics and Urban) with the world of consumer associations continues. This collaboration was strengthened with the signing, in February 2023, of a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening information exchange, sharing and dialogue between the parties with the common goal of improving the quality of life for passengers and citizens.
Present at today's meeting were the organisations ACU; Adiconsum; Adoc; Adusbef; Altroconsumo; Assoutenti; Casa del Consumatore; Cittadinanzattiva; CTCU; Codacons; Codici; Confconsumatori APS; Federconsumatori; Lega Consumatori; Movimento Consumatori; Movimento Difesa Del Cittadino; U.Di.Con. APS; Unione Nazionale Consumatori.
