FS Italiane Group and Trenitalia: agreement reached with the unions on hiring, company meals, commerce and crews

The price of the ticket for all workers in the Group’s companies has been raised. Approximately 2,000 new hires in Trenitalia in 2023

Rome, 2 August 2023

An agreement was signed between the FS Italiane Group and subsidiary Trenitalia with the trade union organisations Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl, Uiltrasporti, Ugl Ferrovieri, Slm Fast Confsal and Orsa Ferrovie. The agreement positively closes the debate that, in recent weeks, has engaged the parties in a long negotiation.

With the agreement, also considering the socio-economic context and the challenges that the Group is facing, the price of the ticket is being raised to € 10.50 for all workers in the Group’s companies to which the CCNL Mobilità/Area AF (Collective Labour Agreement/Mobility/Area AF) and the FS Italiane Group company contract apply, as a concrete tool to support and engage workers in continuity with the actions already shared by the parties in 2022.

In the belief that human resources represent a strategic asset for the development of Trenitalia, the Company has communicated to the Trade Union Organizations an overall 2023 hiring plan of approximately 2,000 new hires. The Company and the Trade Union have shared concrete actions in favour of crew and commercial personnel, also envisaging an evolution of the sales and assistance organisational model aimed at ensuring greater closeness to the customer. The concertation procedure will continue after the summer break.
