18 September 2017

Three months of training dedicated to High Speed. The Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group has signed an agreement to develop the High Speed network in Iran, on the Qom - Arak and Tehran - Hamedan lines, including training the Iranian staff for the launch and management of the High Speed service.

Marketing, sales, assistance, infrastructures, logistics and safety are some of the topics that will be covered during the three-month course held by employees from several Group companies, in collaboration with the Iranian University of Science and Technology.

The first module, started on 3 September 2017, was on Business Marketing International Development: a two week course during which staff from the Sales and Market Department - Long Haul Passenger Division at Trenitalia explained to the Iranian railway staff how to launch the High Speed service, illustrating the case history of the introduction of High Speed in Italy.

This first stage of training by Trenitalia will be followed by insights from other Group companies (RFI, Centostazioni and Mercitalia) and Almaviva for the ICT part.

Training is an integral part of the internationalisation process that the Group is carrying out through acquisitions, participation in international tenders and engineering projects.

The importance of training in the Group's process of international development is emphasised by the course on "Cross cultural training - destination Iran", planned by the relevant departments of Central Human Resources. The goal is to support colleagues in this process by strengthening intercultural potential in a context of international training, promoting the transfer of skills and know-how.
