FS Italiane has won the Premio dei Premi award for innovation 2016, the most important recognition for major Italian industrial groups who have set up the best Made in Italy innovation projects.
FS won the award for the project “Paperless Driving - Tablets for train crew, a highly innovative digital system found nowhere else in Europe, which makes driving trains more efficient while still maintaining high safety and environmental sustainability standards.
The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, handed out the award to the company led by its CEO, Renato Mazzoncini, during a ceremony held yesterday at the Quirinal Palace.
The Premio dei Premi award was collected on behalf of the FS Group by the President of Trenitalia, Tiziano Onesti, and by the General Director of Human Resources and Organisation at FS, Mauro Ghilardi, along with the winner, Luca Martino from Trenitalia, in the presence of the Minister of Education, Universities and Research, Stefania Giannini, and the President of the Cotec Foundation, Luigi Nicolais.
FS Italiane receives yet another award for its efforts and the major investments the Group has made in technology and innovation.
