18 young graduates hired through the FS Competition

Eighteen young graduates have been hired by one of the FS Italiane Group companies.
This is the outcome of the FS Competition, the Recruiting Day promoted by FS Italiane to select economics and engineering graduates from various Italian universities and then integrate them into the company in a swift, innovative way.
Over 3,000 students registered from all universities. 60 candidates then competed over a 2-day contest (5th and 6th October) with 18 brilliant young people selected and hired in record time to work at FS Italiane. There was another prize for the winning group of the Business Game with €500 of travel vouchers to be used with Trenitalia. The initiative took place at the FS headquarters in Rome, in the presence of Renato Mazzoncini, CEO of FS Italiane, along with top management from the Group’s Companies.
Over the course of the two days, these young people, selected from among the most gifted economics and engineering students and graduates, competed in a team business game to show they know how to create and manage an advanced business project. The participants also took tests and had “one-to-one” selection interviews with recruiters and managers, who then determined the 18 best candidates. Mauro Ghilardi, General Director of Human Resources and Organisation at the FS Italiane Group, then sent a recruitment letter to these candidates for the company so they could quickly seize the work opportunities available within the Group.

Once again, this FS Competition proves our great investment in talented young people as a driving force for change at FS Italiane, meeting the objectives of the new Industrial Plan as well as the current needs for generational replacement. I’d like to congratulate the young people selected, who are now leading figures at the company with bright eyes and a great sense of challenge and teamwork; I hope they all have a great future at our Group”.
