The analyses for Italy’s Best Employers for Women 2021 was conducted by the Hubert Burda Media Institute with the aid of Artificial Intelligence tools based on social listening.
Social media, blogs, forums, news portals and video content have been sounded out for a year, on the hunt for comments regarding business culture, vocational training and equal opportunities.
FS Italiane tallied the maximum score of 100 out of 100 (as one of only 51 companies to have achieved this high score).
Inclusion is a matter of trust, which is exactly what Violeta Bulc, as the European Commissioner for Transport, has placed in the FS Group with the decision in 2019 to appoint CEO Gianfranco Battisti as European Ambassador for Diversity.
FS Italiane’s constant commitment to this issue is also evidenced by the active participation in the Platform for Change – Women in Transport, founded in 2017 by the Commission to promote women’s employment and equal opportunities for all working in the Transport sector.
In regards to the inclusion of all forms of diversity, InclusivaMENTE is the project that foresees change management courses aimed towards all employees in learning to recognise and mitigate stereotypes that affect – even subconsciously – each person’s choices, behaviours and leadership style. The FS Group is engaged in an in-house awareness campaign, with digital pathways and HR training on inclusion matters.
The focal point towards which all Group efforts converge is indeed on the people, since innovating the business model and building a sustainable future necessitates sharing the wealth of various experiences and values. And dedicated precisely to people and their valuable stories is #lePersoneeilFare, a fresh and informal digital communication project set to dedicate space every week to the FS Italiane #RailPost Blog. Talented people share first-hand the commitment and passion they put into their work every day. Each time, a different narrating voice will add to the composition of a colourful mosaic that is the FS Group.
To enhance and stimulate sustainable development pathways, on 22 July CEO Battisti met with young employees operating in a range of professional families and representing all Group companies. Amongst them, about half are women.
