Operational Safety

Ensures the definition and dissemination of corporate policies, internal regulations and operational safety procedures for the operation, including for the purposes of maintaining the safety certificate. Assists the management and development of the Company's Operational Safety (SGS) and coordinates the preparation of the Company's Annual Safety Plan. Supervises relations with national and foreign transport companies in the field of operational safety.

Ensures the development of operational safety management procedures. Assists in the development and management of simulation systems for the training of driving crews. On behalf of Trenitalia, takes care of problems related to the use of traction technologies for trains and safety systems.

Job Safety

Ensures the definition and dissemination of company policies and operational procedures in the field of job safety with the related implementation controls, including via monitoring and analysis of the Workplace Accident Data Bank, by curbing its regulatory and legislative developments, analysis of procedures for administrative technical compliance for plants, buildings and processes. Provides specialised support to corporate structures and technical assistance to relevant Group structures in charge of relations with national and international organisations.

Head of the Prevention and Protection Service for the Italian Railways Network (RFI)
Prepares security procedures for various business activities.
Provides workers with information on safety in the company, regarding the risks involved, the prevention measures taken, the procedures to be followed in case of accidents and/or emergencies, the associated hazards associated with the use of certain materials or substances or the work to be undertaken.

Environmental Safety

Supervises the implementation of company policies in the field of environmental protection through the collection of policies, the revision of procedures and regulations, the dissemination of sound management practices for environmental protection.

Supervises the quantitative monitoring of environmental impact activities and identifies the necessary corrective actions with respect to the defined plan. Carries out the drafting of environmental impact mitigation projects with a view to better utilize natural resources and valorise technological innovations.
