In support of the struggling healthcare facilities in Northern Italy and in coordination with the Civil Protection, the FS Italiane Group is offering volunteer doctors selected for the “Doctors for COVID” task force the option to travel free of charge aboard Trenitalia trains to reach the regions most affected by the epidemic.
Free tickets can be booked via the trenitalia.com website and Trenitalia App, providing the name, surname, date of birth and registration number in the Medical Registry.
Aboard the train, those availing of this offer must present to official personnel their ID and membership card or other document certifying registration in the Medical Registry.
Bookings can be modified an unlimited number of times prior to the train’s departure via the same purchase channels.
The “Medici Covid-19” option shall be valid throughout the entire emergency period for trips taken by the “Medici per COVID” task force.
In accordance with the directives issued by the Government, FS Italiane has enacted a detailed and concrete plan of action for containing the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.
