Chief Security Officer

A retired Carabinieri officer with military, legal and academic training in internal and external security studies, he has extensive experience in managing complex situations, risk governance and control systems.

He began his career in the Carabinieri, holding command posts in the Mobile, Territorial and Special units, and went on to pursue his professional career in complex industrial environments, contributing to the strengthening of security for strategic infrastructure, the development of risk management models and the consolidation of compliance and control systems. The international experience he acquired has enabled him to develop a systemic view of large organisations, supporting senior management in decision-making processes through an integrated approach to risk management.

At Eni, he also headed the Compliance Risk Assessment, Monitoring, Process and Integrated Compliance Risk Overview structure, helping to strengthen the identification and management of compliance risks. He subsequently headed the Business Compliance Support unit within the Technology Department of R&D & Digital, supporting innovation and digital transformation processes.

He joined the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group in 2025 as the Chief Audit Officer, where he championed the strengthening of Internal Audit as a strategic lever for governance, promoting the integration and effectiveness of the internal control system and supporting value creation, transparency and the continuous improvement of the Group’s performance.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the AIIA – Italian Association of Internal Auditors.

The programme is complemented by advanced training courses in industrial safety, business intelligence, employer liability and the administrative liability of organisations.
