Fabiana Lungarotti graduated with honours in Economics and Business from “La Sapienza” University in Rome, and then completed a 2nd Level Master’s Degree in CFO – Administration, Finance and Control Management at the University of Pisa.

After an early experience at Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance and KPMG, she became a financial analyst at a private equity fund managed by PM&PARTNERS, before joining the Capitalia Group. There, between 2003 and 2010, she worked in the Planning and Control Department as Senior Controller, where she was also involved in the integration process between Capitalia and UniCredit.

In 2010, she joined FS Italiane Group as Head of Consolidated Financial Statements. Then, she took charge of the Finance and Accounting department at Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, where she was responsible for the Holding’s consolidated and statutory financial statements, the Group’s accounting policies and non-financial reporting.

From 2022 to 2025, she was Head of the Administration, Finance, Planning and Control Department at FS Logistix. And, the following year, she became Head of the Administration, Finance and Control Department at Trenitalia.

In August 2026, she became Head of the Administration, Finance & Control Department at Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane.

She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Eurofer Pension Fund Board (since 2019), Fercredit (since 2022), and Trenitalia TPER (since 2026).
