CEO Program Management Officer

Daniela Lezzi graduated with honours in Civil Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II. She has over thirty years of professional experience in managing complex infrastructure programmes and developing major railway projects.

She joined FS Group in 1993 and has worked mainly at Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, where she held positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of investment planning and implementation.

From her role as Chief Inspector in Naples in 2001 to her current position as Head of the Investment Management structure since 2018, she has contributed to the progress of key strategic initiatives aimed at upgrading the railway infrastructure. During her tenure, she headed the High-Speed and Conventional Rail Projects Investment Department (2016–2018) and the High-Speed and Conventional Rail Investment Programmes Department (2011–2016), overseeing the programming, planning and monitoring of infrastructure investments in the national rail network, and ensuring these were consistent with the company’s strategic and industrial objectives.

In 2025, she was appointed CEO Office of RFI.

Throughout her managerial career, she has also held various positions in strategic areas, including Operational and Authorisation Processes, Archaeology and the Environment, thereby developing cross-functional expertise in investment governance processes, multidisciplinary coordination and the management of complex organisations.

She is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairperson of Tunnel Ferroviario del Brennero and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Brenner Base Tunnel.

She has been a member of the Institute of Engineers since 1989.
