Today it was held the Shareholders’s meeting of Ferrovie del Sud Est e Servizi Automobilistici Srl (FSE).

Fs Italiane, its sole shareholder, has appointed the new Board of Directors, which members are Luigi Lenci (the Chairman), Andrea Mentasti, Maria Rosaria Gradilone, Francesca Serra, Mauro Ghilardi.

This new BoD, with Luigi Lenci as Chairman, has confirmed Andrea Mentasti as CEO. The Shareholders’ meeting has recognized Prof. Andrea Viero’s effort in his role of Government Commissioner and former Chairman as well.

During this session, the BoD approved to request to the Court of Bari the access to the “concordato preventivo” procedure which is necessary for the process of the Company relaunch, already began with the transfer to Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane and which has to ensure, also through the control of the Judicial Authority, transparency and equal treatment in the Company management and within the creditors’ relationship in the turnaround phase.

Through the “concordato preventivo”, FSE intends to get to a new business plan, prepared and blessed in a judicial seat, which has to consent the rebalancing of the financial structure, in accordance with national and European rules. This plan will consent talso he business activities progression, satisfying social creditors according to an agreed proposal.

During this phase of approval of the procedure, regular and safe public transport services will be ensured as well as the payment of employees’ salaries and the costs and expenses related to the ordinary business of the Company.

Ferrovie del Sud Est e Servizi Automobilistici srl will promote any action in order to protect the Company and the public service from who caused current financial crisis.
