Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane celebrates 40 years of Arte Fiera with La Freccia Arte, a special edition freely distributed on the occasion of the Bologna show, from today until Monday February 1.
The special guide, that helps in discovering the halls, is the master Michelangelo Pistoletto that, through pages of modern and contemporary art history, brilliantly narrated, provides the reader, between old and new icons, the story of four famous decades, and makes them bloom again in the eyes and in the words of those that have designed them and have seen their birth.
At the press conference of La Freccia Arte in the spaces of BolognaFiere, there were the managing director of Trenitalia, Barbara Morgante, the President of BolognaFiere, Duccio Campagnoli, the curators of Arte Fiera, Giorgio Verzotti and Claudio Spadoni, and Patrizia Sandretto Re Baudengo, President of the Foundation with the same name.
“The relation between train and art is unbreakable and, over time, has driven the creativity of artists, film-makers, talented photographers, and others,” said Barbara Morgante, MD of Trenitalia. “Gruppo FS is proud to present this new editorial product on the occasion of 40 years of Arte Fiera, one of the most important date with culture on the international scene.”
A poker of covers, four different cover pages of La Freccia Arte for every day of the Exhibition: Michelangelo Pistoletto, with Two Less One coloured, Mario Cravo Neto with Odé, Joseph Kosuth with the neon 'J.J. (F.W. #14)' and Lucio Fontana with Concetto spaziale, make up the new monograph of FS Italiane with an extra-large format, with sections inside, services and insights that give an introduction to the great event in Bologna, by an overview of these forty years of success as a path entirely dedicated to Italian art, from Felice Casorati to Giorgio Morandi, from Piero Manzoni until new talents.
The historical explanation of the new edition is entrusted to the two curators, Claudio Spadoni and Giorgio Verzotti. The inevitable young people, constantly in dialogue with masters, collectors and critics. First among them, Patrizia Sandretto Rebaudengo and Francesco Bonami, which together take stock on Italian art in a vis à vis. From a collaboration with BolognaFiere, La Freccia Arte, from January 29 to February 1°, supports and celebrates the prestigious Bologna date on modern and contemporary art.
