Euro2020, the Frecciarossa turns blue

The Frecciarossa 1000 has gone blue on the occasion of the European Football Championships.

A special Trenitalia Frecciarossa (FS Italiane Group) with blue livery accompanied the Italian national team from Florence to Rome for the debut match against Turkey tomorrow, on Friday 11 June, at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.

With the side panel bearing the slogan “United by a single passion: Italy”, the train has already been used for last week’s friendly match and will also welcome the Italian team for the next two games against Switzerland and Wales.

Indeed, even for this important sporting event, the Frecciarossa – as an Italian excellence – is confirmed as the official train of the FIGC (the Italian Football Federation) for the European Football Championships.

In addition to being used to transport the national football team, the train will also be employed for transporting passengers each day.

For the occasion, Trenitalia has dedicated a selection of special initiatives for its passengers. Amongst these is the #passionecheunisce competition dedicated to all those who support the Azzurri team, thanks to which up until 10 June, it was possible to win two tickets for Casa Azzurri, 2 Trenitalia Gift Cards worth 150 euro, together with official national team jerseys and balls.

Furthermore, there is the Frecciarossa corner inside Casa Azzurri to welcome fans who will follow the matches of the National team and participate in concerts, games and many other activities. And finally, at the FrecciaLounge in Roma Termini, CartaFRECCIA Gold and Platinum card-holders can enjoy a historical selection of the most precious memorabilia of the National team whilst waiting for their train.
