Innovation for Integrated Mobility

FS Italiane, together with Sapienza University of Rome, Bombardier, Hitachi Rail Italy, Ansaldo STS, Ferrotramviaria Engineering, Roma Metropolitane, Siemens, Lucchini RS, Almaviva and Alstom, invests on young and keen engineers of the transport sector, by providing scholarships for high-level professional training, needed in a sector characterized by a strong technological development.

Collaboration with a recognized centre of expertise, such as the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering of Sapienza University of Rome, guarantees a high scientific value to the training course offered, while the availability of important partner companies ensures consistency with the business needs and culture.

The commitment is full-time for 7 months, including the final stage (June-July 2018), in one of the partner companies with the possibility to attend lectures, seminars and project work and visit construction sites and structures, acquire field experiences and meet the managers of Gruppo FS Italiane and other companies.

The Master offers a cross training that provides a specialization in different technical areas - programming, design, operation, maintenance, marketing - and includes engineering, legal and economic aspects, thus providing participants with a multidisciplinary approach.

Recipients and admission procedure

Recipients: Young second level graduate students (in the classes listed in the call), electrical, electronic, mechanical and transportation engineering skills would be an advantage.

Duration: From January to July 2018, with submission of final work in September on the project carried out during the stage.

Admission procedure: Candidates participate in a selection based on qualifications, technical and linguistic knowledge (English) and psychological and attitudinal skills. The first 35 candidates classified will be admitted to the Master.

Fees and Scholarships: The registration fee is 3.000,00 €. Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, Bombardier, Ferrotramviaria Engineering, Alstom, Siemens and Lucchini RS make available, on the basis of the admission ranking list of the Master:

• 20 scholarships of 1,700.00 €, of which 5 are reserved for the top 5 women classified and 10 are reserved for the top 10 candidates with an advantage skill;

• in addition, 1,600.00 € for 15 residents outside the Lazio region (since at least six months): 5 for residents in the Northern regions, 5 for residents in the regions of the Center, 5 for residents in the South and Islands regions (as indicated in the call).
