With nugo, the FS Italiane Group startup for integrated mobility, it is also possible to purchase an integrated monthly travel pass and tickets with a duration of 24, 48 or 72 hours, as well as integrated timed tickets valid for 100 minutes. The new agreement with ATAC makes it possible to use local public transport vehicles in the Capital without any limits to the number of trips.
“The agreement with ATAC,” stated Renzo Iorio, CEO and General Manager of nugo, “facilitates the expansion of the services that can be purchased on nugo for mobility throughout the Capital. The possibility to buy different types of tickets on the journey planner and the monthly pass facilitates getting around on public transport in Rome in an integrated and sustainable way. The purchasability of ATAC services with nugo is receiving great feedback from those using the app and we are committed to increasing collaborations with local public transport operators in major urban areas. nugo is an important and innovative tool in the process of digital searching for and purchasing travel tickets with a new mode that facilitates tourism throughout Italy.”
With smartphones and other mobile devices, people can easily schedule their movements. Via nugo, tickets can be simply purchased in a single transaction with an easy click to pay quickly and safely via credit card or other innovative systems such as Amazon Pay, PayPal, Satispay, Apple Pay or via a MyBank transfer.
Travel tickets purchased through nugo have no extra charge and can be conveniently stored in one’s electronic device. So, no more card to carry about and validate. Checks are carried out through a unique code via which the ATAC ticket inspectors can verify the ticket’s validity.
Launched in June 2018 by the FS Italiane Group, nugo allows you to purchase travel solutions by integrating various modes of transport including: train, aeroplane, bus, metro, ferry and even car- and bike-sharing.
The app is simple and intuitive: selecting the point of departure and destination, nugo lists all possible solutions to reach journey’s end, combining various means of transport and indicating the duration of the trip and ticket price for each. Once you have chosen the means or the combination of transit methods proposed, you can buy all your tickets with just one click, making it much quicker and more practical to arrange trips. Through filters and preferences, it is also possible to customise the journey, ensuring the itineraries best suit the needs of each person.
The free app is available and downloadable from Google Play and App Store
