Signed a cooperation agreement with Indian Railways

Increase the safety level of Indian Railways through a review of management procedures and control of the infrastructure and transport system, certification of technologies based on SIL4 (Safety Integrity Level 4) and training of personnel in the field of safety.
These above the mainstays of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in New Delhi by Renato Mazzoncini, CEO and Director General of FS Italiane, in presence of the Minister of Indian Railways Suresh Prabhu and AK Mittal, President of Indian Railways

In presence of Carlo Carganico, CEO of Italferr, engineering railway company of FS Italiane, and of Rajeev Mehrotra, President of Rites, Indian government company active in engineering sector, another Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed for cooperation of the two companies in the Indian and Asian markets.
“This Memorandum of Understanding represents a great strategic opportunity for Italferr”, said Carlo Carganico, CEO of Italferr. “Thanks to that we can enter in the portfolio of clients of one of the largest engineering consulting firms of the world and find new opportunities for expansion of our business.”
Italferr, engineering company of FS Italiane which opened an office in New Delhi in 2016, and Italcertifer, certification railway company of FS Italiane, are already involved in 6 projects in India. The most important of these 6 projects is the design and supervision of works for the construction of the Anji Khad Bridge, 750 meters long bridge with a central span of more than 260, suspended between Katra and Reasi over a gorge of 200 meters.
The Italian delegation, from a week on mission in New Delhi and Calcutta, met in New Delhi, on 31 January, the Minister of Indian Railways Suresh Prabhu, the President of Indian Railways, AK Mittal and Rajeev Mehrotra, President of Rites, Rajiv Gauba, Secretary for Urban Development and Mukund Sinha, OSD (Officer on Special Duty) of Metro Railways. The first of February there have been meetings with V.K. Singh, Director General of National Capital Region Transport Corporation and Ramesh Abhishek, Secretary of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion of the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The stay of the delegation in the Indian capital ended on 2 of February, with the meeting with Amitabh Kant, CEO of Niti Aayog, the National Institution for Transforming India. The mission will continue in Calcutta on 3 of February, with meetings with key members of the West Bengal Government: Onkar Singh Meena, Secretary for Urban Development, Amit Mitra, Minister of Trade and Industry, Alapan Bandopadhyay, Secretary of the Department of Transport. The last meeting is with M.C. Chauhan, President of Kolkata Metro Corporation.
During the meetings, the contents of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) have been deepened.
