The Web Summit was established in Dublin in 2011 with the aim of bringing together the world of research and universities, high-tech industries and innovative start-ups in one place.
It moved to Lisbon in 2016, establishing itself as the largest technology event in Europe, with over 70,000 participants from over 150 countries.
Three days of networking, training and innovation
The three-day Web Summit features seminars, workshops, pitch contests, conferences and exhibition spaces for start-ups. The event attracts a diverse audience — start-ups, investors, technology companies, public figures — not only from the world of web and high-tech industries, but also from other fields such as politics, sports, music and fashion. It is a unique opportunity to network and get updated on various topics, including artificial intelligence, blockchains, virtual and augmented reality, cybersecurity and sustainable development.
