4, 12, 18 and 25 of August are the upcoming dates to run on the Trans-Siberian, one of the most beautiful railway lines in Italy.
The line with panoramic view, the so-called Trans-Siberian of Italy, stops in Sulmona, Roccaraso, Campo di Giove, in the evergreen Majella National Park and Carpione. This historic railway is a little gem nestled in the heart of Italy. The line starts at Sulmona station at 328 metres and reaches the Rivisondoli - Pescocostanzo station at 1,268.82 metres above sea level.
The trips, organized by Fondazione FS, run on the whole railway operating network (with the exception of the high speed lines and main junctions) and some lines reopened to foster tourism within the Timeless Tracks project. The initiative is mainly focused on organizing heritage train trips along the most suggestive routes, across rarely visited landscapes in some of Italy’s most beautiful territories.
On these lines, Fondazione FS regularly runs historic trains during events that are always cheered with great enthusiasm by the people.
