FS, Puglia: “Pensiero Binario” installation at the Bari Centrale station

On display from 21 to 24 December

Bari, 22 December 2025

"Pensiero Binario" is FS Group's installation, on show from 21 to 24 December, in front of the entrance to the Bari Centrale station, and dedicated to one of the fundamental elements of the railway infrastructure: the track.

The goal was depicting FS Group’s mission, committed to building the present and future of the country's mobility.

The work, created by designers Giulio Iacchetti and Luca Madonini, reaches Puglia after stopping in Rimini, Milan, Rome and Bologna.

The narrative focuses on the way FS has initiated the country’s transformation, through through an unprecedented modernisation plan involving the railway network and train fleet. The interventions currently under way in Italy can be witnesses through videos and data scrolling on the screens, and focused especially on the new HS/HC Bari-Naples line and the Termoli-Lesina section, crucial for competing the track-doubling works along the Adriatic line. Then, the story continues with the active construction sites in Puglia stations, the renewal of the regional fleet, and the use of renewable energy to power train travel.

"FS Group has always driven the country’s development - explains Giuseppe Inchingolo, Chief Corporate Affairs, Communication & Sustainability Officer of FS Group -. Strategic works represent a future that is already unfolding, in our daily narrative, the story of a country that is being transformed also through our work. We need to broaden the audience of stakeholders, by increasingly involving more and more people, such as travellers and citizens directly affected by our works, and also the people who come here, and who, through this initiative, can realise how FS Group is transforming the country".

These works are indispensable to achieve NRRP objectives and to raise the network efficiency standards, in order to ensure an increasingly modern, integrated, reliable and fast infrastructure.

FS Group's goal is to get people moving and eliminate the infrastructural gaps that still exist between North and South Italy, with more widespread infrastructure.

The "Extraordinary Plan for Italy on the Move" is RFI's information and communication campaign on the construction sites scheduled for 2025, to inform passengers and reach citizens and stakeholders. The campaign is featured in stations, on traditional media, and on RFI’s website.  The works have been planned down to the last detail to minimise issues and maximise long-term benefits for everyone.
