Rome, 4 November 2025

After spending his entire career depicting the way Italians dream and brood over things, director and actor Carlo Verdone chose to play himself in Vita da Carlo, in the 4th and final season, available on Paramount+ from November 28th. He is also getting ready to be Mayor of Rome for a day, on 17 November, for his 75th birthday.

His identity is evolving, just like FS Italiane Group’s, which has been uniting the country as a craftsman of movement for 120 years. The exhibit Le Ferrovie d'Italia - 1861-2025, hosted at the Vittoriano in Rome from November 7th, tells the fascinating story of its evolution, through miniature locomotives, photographs, paintings, and installations.

Our magazine continues its renewal! From this month forward, La Freccia readers can stay on top of the latest film, TV and streaming service releases, with Ciak, si parte.

One of the recommended autumn destinations is Lucera, in the province of Foggia. 2025 Capital of Puglia’s Culture, the city treasures a multi-faceted heritage, bequeathed by the many civilizations that left their mark here. Another star destination of this month's issue is Trieste, with an itinerary following the bora wind, between original architectural solutions, themed sculptures and a museum being developed around it. Finally, a food & wine tour crossing the country from north to south, to taste the different ways stockfish and cod are interpreted.

The issue features many interviews with leading figures in entertainment, sports, and culture. Irene Grandi, making a comeback with her unreleased songs album, Oro e rosa. Maestro Riccardo Muti, at the Fondazione Prada in Milan from November 19th to 30th with the Italian Opera Academy project. Sonia Bergamasco, who brings La Principessa di Lampedusa to the stage. Nicolas Maupas, from November 20th on Rai1 with the third season of Un professore. And again, writer Massimo Carlotto, in book stores with the noir A esequie avvenute. And Flavia Pennetta, winner of the 2015 US Open and sportscaster, who will have the honour of commenting the golden moment of Italian tennis, at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin and the Davis Cup Final 8 in Bologna.

And on an end note, the cultural events. In Florence, a monographic exhibition featuring 140 works from around the world pays homage to painter Beato Angelico, who revolutionized art in the 15th century through his use of light. In Fiorenzuola d'Arda (Piacenza), the most iconic works of Jeff Koons, the Midas of Neo-Pop Art, are on display, while in Milan, 100 images selected for the 61st Wildlife Photographer of the Year showcase the beauty of nature, amidst wildlife and landscapes far, far away.
