By the shores of Lake Como, the CEO and Director General of FS Italiane, Renato Mazzoncini, met the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Arkady Dvorkovich, while working at the Ambrosetti Forum taking place in Cernobbio.
During their discussions, the FS CEO and Mr Dvorkovich addressed issues linked to the collaboration launched between the Italian and Russian railways on 6th July with the signing of a memorandum of understanding for railway cooperation.
In fact, this memorandum covers the joint development by FS Italiane and Russian Railways of projects for the construction and modernisation of railway infrastructure, alongside the supply of products and services for the logistics and transport of freight and passengers.
The agreement signed by the State Railway CEO also covers the collaboration for the construction of high-speed lines in Russia, alongside joint projects for the rolling out of new railway infrastructures in other countries.
