After starring in many successful TV movies and productions, Elena Sofia Ricci is ready to receive the Excellence Career Award at the Italian Global Series Festival - an event dedicated to television series, in which the FS Group is a partner. The actress has always supported this form of storytelling, because dramas 'allow you to reach people's hearts and get to know true stories, stirring emotions and entertaining the audience'.
Narrating stories with lightness is also the theme of the third edition of A/R Andata e racconto, a contest devised by the FS Group with the Turin Book Fair. The award-winning short stories - by Maurizia Di Stefano, Franco Revello, Riccardo Grasso and Edoardo Maresca - restored a weightless depth to original and interesting content.
In early summer months, La Freccia recommends the best Italian destinations for travelling with your furry friends, including beaches with special and playgrounds, dog trekking routes and hotels with dedicated menus. And even a zig-zagging itinerary around Salento, alternating sea and nature. And, last but not least, the Walk of Peace: 500 kilometres between Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Slovenia to discover the most significant places of World War I.
There is no shortage of interviews with the stars of show business, culture and sport: actors Giorgio Panariello and Vittoria Puccini, in theatres from 3 July with the film Incanto, presenters Alessandro Greco and Carolina Rey, at the helm of Unomattina estate, stylist Chiara Boni and actress Drusilla Foer, who are in Florence for a solidarity fashion show, during Pitti Uomo. And also singer Serena Brancale, split between an international tour and summer concerts in Italy, writer Sacha Naspini, in bookshops with the short story L'ingrato, and former footballer Marco Tardelli, who talks about the new FIFA Club World Cup, from 14 June to 13 July in the United States.
And on an end note, the cultural events. From 8 to 14 July, Art Nouveau Week returns to discover Art Nouveau masterpieces scattered across the country. In Turin, an exhibition at Palazzo Chiablese explores the theme of beauty in the history of art, from Botticelli's Venus to Mucha's timeless aesthetics. While the 144 images selected for the World Press Photo - the contest that has been rewarding the world's best reportage for 70 years - are on display in Genoa until 24 June.
All this and more in June’s La Freccia, available in digital format on FS Italiane, and in take-away print magazine on Trenitalia Frecce trains, in the FRECCIALounge and in FRECCIAClubs.
