Rome, 15 October 2025

FS Group, official sponsor of the 20th edition of the Rome Film Fest, accompanies spectators on one of the biggest red carpets in the world, with the installation Pensiero Binario and the docufilm Andata e Ritorno, which will be screened at the Fest.

The travelling exhibition welcomes the public along the red carpet leading to the screening rooms, with an engaging experience intertwining art, image and culture. Designed by Giulio Iacchetti and Luca Madonini, the art piece interprets the track as a symbol of travel, connection and movement - founding values shared by the railway sector and Italian film history.

From the magnetic face of Sophia Loren in Two Women to the iconic Totò in Destination Piovarolo, passing through Vittorio De Sica’s immortal gaze in Scandal in Sorrento, and Nino Manfredi’s melancholic and sincere expression in Cafe Express. Great actors from legendary films set on trains and stations are showcased in a retrospective-like fashion, taken from Ferrovie dello Stato and Fondazione FS’ photographic archives, and intertwined with the faces of contemporary artists who have walked the Roman red carpet, portrayed by photographer Luigi de Pompeis. A visual dialogue between past and present that also symbolises FS Group's mission to build the future of the country's mobility.

During the Rome Film Fest, FS will also present the short feature film Andata e Ritorno, describing how railway lines and trains are humanity's stages, and meeting places filled with expectations and discoveries. By attending the event, the Group renews its commitment to telling the story of a changing Italy, also through art and culture, as a way to turn its gaze towards a more sustainable, integrated and accessible future, where tracks will continue to represent the horizon where the stories of millions of travellers run.
