FS International looks to Africa

With the role of coordinator of the international Confindustria Cooperation Working Group, FS Italiane, through FS International, presented a document at the "L’Italia investe in Africa" (Italy invests in Africa) Convention that took place on 13 June in Rome at ANCE (National Association of Building Constructors).

Participants at the event, which was organized by the Ali Onlus Foundation with the sponsorship of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, ANCE and Cariplo, included Giorgio Marrapodi, Director General for Development Cooperation of La Farnesina, Carlo Segni, Director for the Development Cooperation of the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (Savings and Lending Bank), Roberto Ridolfi, Deputy Director General of FAO, Giandomenico Ghella, Vice president of ANCE.

In his speech, Dr Giovanni Rocca, Senior Vice-President of FS International, presented both an interesting analysis carried out by Confindustria regarding the need for infrastructures on the African continent and a summary of what has been carried out by Fs Italiane in Africa, with a focus on the “Tambo Springspriority project, which envisages the creation and management of an impressive intermodal logistics centre in South Africa.
