On 20 March, on the occasion of the Indonesian delegation’s visit to Rome, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane and PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero).
The development of human capital and training on the use of innovative technologies will form the basis of activities undertaken with the signing of this agreement promoting specialist training. With a view to sustainable growth in the Indonesian railway industry, FS Italiane will thus convey its know-how through personnel training courses, visits and research activities.
The objectives of the Mutual Collaboration Agreement thus include: developing modern solutions in the rail transport field; the restructuring and commercial development of railway stations; personnel training; the design and implementation of technical and innovative solutions for railway infrastructure and implementing coaching programmes.
Taking part in the event were MoU signatories, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) CEO Edi Sukmoro and Filippo Scotti, Senior Executive Vice President of FS International.
