The second "Asset management" training course organised for the Indonesian Railways concludes

30th October 2019

Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed last March in Rome between the Indonesian Railways (PT Kereta Api Indonesia) and the Italian State Railways, along with the cooperation already underway in recent months, FS International held the second course on “Asset Management” from 14 to 25 October 2019. Organised at the RFI Professional School of Bologna, the training sessions were focused on 23 managers of the Indonesian Railways.

In order to offer a complete and systemic view of the topics covered by the course (primarily integrated mobility), several managers of FS Italiane companies (including RFI, Metropark and Grandi Stazioni Rail) also took part.

This course constitutes the second step in a training programme that sees the likely issuance of:

  • a further training module on High Speed, assumed to be held in 2020;
  • internships with the FS Italiane Group companies;
  • a coaching plan with FS managers temporarily posted to the Indonesian Railways.

The urgency of a rapid acquisition of a cutting-edge technological and professional level by the Indonesian Government is also motivated by the activation of the construction phase of the first high-speed railway connection between the capital of Jakarta and the country's second-ranked city, Bandung.
