FS Italiane and the Russian Railways (RZD) have agreed to give a new, timely and strong impetus to the freight traffic between the two countries and to-and-from China.
The global health emergency triggered by the spread of COVID-19 has not halted FS Italiane Group’s international cooperation. Indeed, on 1 April 2020, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane and TCDD (the Turkish Railways) extended the validity of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in May 2017 by a further three years.
On 17 and 18 February 2020, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, in collaboration with Agenzia ICE and Confindustria, supported the organisation in Italy of the mission of a delegation from Canada to further business and collaboration opportunities in the Canadian infrastructure sector.
On 11 February 2020, FS Italiane signed an Auditing Contract with the Uruguayan Ministerio de Transporte y Obras Públicas (MTOP), totalling 629,000 euro, having as its object the provision of technical advice on the significant railway infrastructure project of Ferrocarril Central.
As part of the activities provided for in the Memorandum of Understanding signed last March between FS and MAV, the first contract for the start of technical training courses was signed today at the Hungarian Embassy in Rome.
On 4 December, the High-Speed Rail Policy Forum, took place in Washington DC with the main focus on the ability to create economic growth through the development of High Speed services.
From 3 to 5 December 2019 the FS Italiane Group, in view of the increased interest in the development of the railway sector and mobility in general in Oceania, took an active part in AusRail Plus.
Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, together with FS International, has been selected by the Uruguayan Ministry of Transport (Ministerio de Transporte y Obras Publicas - MTOP) for the technical consultancy activity on the significant railway infrastructure project “Ferrocarril Central”.
Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed last March in Rome between the Indonesian Railways (PT Kereta Api Indonesia) and the Italian State Railways, along with the cooperation already underway in recent months, FS International held the second course on “Asset Management” from 14 to 25 October 2019.
Signed by yesterday on 24 October 2019 in Bangkok between the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) and the Consortium led by Charoen Pokphand Holding (CPH) was the contract for the realisation and exercise of the high-speed rail line set to connect the three major Thai airports.
