Born in 1967, he joined the Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane in 2002 as Head of Distribution Channels of Trenitalia’s Domestic and International Passenger Division after several years as Director of Information Systems in different environments, both in Italy and abroad, in the travel and transportation sector (Amadeus Italia, Amadeus UK, TravelOnLine).
From 2008 to 2014 he worked in the Information Systems Department at Trenitalia, holding management roles in the Passenger area, from demand, to development, to execution.
In 2013 he was appointed manager of the PICO Implementation and Coordination organisational structure which directly reports to the CEO of Trenitalia and that has the role of completing the implementation stage of Trenitalia’s multi-channel trading system (PICO), replacing previous on-line sales systems, ticket offices and travel agencies.
In 2014 he moved to work in Trenitalia’s Strategic Planning Department, and took on the management of the Sales Systems Innovation and Distribution Plans organisational structure, with the aim of creating synergies both from a technical and an investment point of view, so as to optimise sales and distribution processes.
In 2017 he became manager of the ECE (Extended Customer Experience) Project which is part of FS Italiane’s Group Innovation and Information Systems Department, the organisation that is tasked with developing FS Group’s intermodal sales and distribution platform.
From December 2017 to December 2018 he was General Manager of nugo SpA, an FS Group start-up company that represents the brand for domestic and international multi-modality (train – taxi – plane – car sharing – bike sharing, ships, etc) and integration with domestic LPT.
Since August 2018 he has held the position of Group Director of Innovation and Information Systems at FS Italiane.
